Julie studied Akhanda Yoga under the inspirational guidance of Gayatri and Karuna Mayi completing her 200-hour Akhanda Training at The Bodhi Tree (Yoga Alliance certified) in April 2011.
Julie also holds certification in Yin Yoga, focusing on breath work, stretching and balancing the mind and body through deep meditation in her classes
Julie has a strong connection teaching pre-natal yoga, she underwent her teaching training while pregnant and feels a deep connection to all pregnant women practicing yoga.
Julie has been practicing yoga since 2005 and it has become a passion of hers over the years. She started practicing yoga from books, mainly using the breathing technique to reduce her stress level. She noticed a big change in only days and then decided to go to a yoga class. To state it simply-It brought her back to life. She felt re-born! “I couldn’t believe what a simple breathing and posture class did for me”.
Knowing now that yoga is much more then breathing and postures she can understand the transformation of the mind, body and soul and is grateful to be able to share that with her students.
